The Knowledge Factory, Inc. (TKFI), a 501(c)(3) was founded in 1998, by Tyraine Ragsdale with the mission to develop and promote science initiatives to increase the interest and enrollment of students in what is currently called STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.) TKFI’s strategy is to achieve this by developing programs, products and services that demonstrate the importance of STEM and the role it plays in our everyday lives as a way to inspire students to consider it as a career option.

To develop and promote initiatives to pique the interest of hard-to-reach and even harder-to-interest students and expose them to the possibilities and opportunities that exist in STEM. To build a pipeline of highly qualified students to fulfill the future workforce demand in STEM related careers.
